We are glad to inform you that Indian Pulp and Paper Technical Association (IPPTA) is going to organize a “Workshop’ on October 22 & 23, 2010 in Conference Hall of Emami Paper Mills Limited, Balgopalpur, Dist. Balasore (Orissa) on “Optimising Secondary Fibre Processing for High Speed Paper Machine”

Introduction:
Indian paper industry is on expanding mode to meet the projected demand of about 14 million tons by 2015-16 following are the major constrain for the growth.
1. Shortage of fibers raw material due to dwindling forest resources.
2. Greater concern for the environmental issue, water & energy reduction.

Higher use of secondary fiber will not only accelerate the growth but have beneficial impact on raw material protection as well as on energy & water consumption. More than half of the global demand for the paper making fiber is being met by secondary fiber. Presently about 44% Indian paper mills are based on secondary fiber. Recovery of waste paper in India is very low compared to developed countries. Environment friendly new technology in secondary fiber processing helped to produce Quality product on high speed paper machines at   competitive price in tune with the global trend.  Focus areas in the workshop are given below.

Profile:

The papers are invited on the theme of the Workshop Profile as given above. IPPTA Members/Non-members are requested to contribute good quality papers and share your experiences for the benefits of all the personnel associated with Pulp, Paper & Allied Industries.

Last Date for receipt the Abstract                            : 7th September, 2010
Last date for receipt of the Full Text of the Paper  : 21st September,, 2010

Note:
All accepted papers for presentation during the Workshop will be given a Cash Prize of Rs.2500/- besides no Registration Fee will be charged from the Speaker (One Speaker) presenting  the paper.

The paper should be prepared as per IPPTA Guideline in the format of IPPTA Journal including Title, Name of the Author(s) with full address, Abstract, Introduction, Experiments, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and References with photographs/figures suitable for reproduction/printing.  The Paper will be scrutinized by the Technical Committee and will be accepted for presentation/publication if found suitable.  CD of the text material should be sent preferable by courier in time, failing which the paper may not be published in IPPTA Journal being brought out on this occasion.

About Balasore :
 Balasore has the railway station on Chennai-Howrah mainline and all express, mail trains have stoppage here.  It is 250 Km from Kolkata Airport and 210 Km from Bhubaneshwar Airport and takes 4 hrs. by road on both directions.  The important places of interest for visit is Chandipur-on-Sea (14 Km.) and Panchlingeswar temple (Shiva Lingam under water)-25 km., Puri-270 Km & Konark-300 Km.
